How can you afford this?
We’ve known that we wanted to take this trip basically from the moment we met. There has been a lot of saving, a lot of planning, and quite honestly a lot of luck. Colton has also worked three jobs and I run my own cat sitting business.
How much will it cost?
This has a nebulous answer. It entirely depends on how long we stay in certain regions of the world and the level of luxury and comfort we choose. Including a week long Maldives trip for our honeymoon, we have around $100k allotted for the year. This includes all of our travel as well as expenses at home, as we have a mortgage and a car payment that will continue regardless of where we are.
Couldn’t you spend money on something more useful?
Absolutely, but it’s less important to us. Experiences>logic.
